A gorgeous location with endless possibilities for your next family photography session in Lincoln, Nebraska could be Pioneers Park. Located in the eastern region of Lincoln, it offers 668 acres of rolling hills with expansive wooded areas, open prairie, manicured lawns, and trails. Development of the park started in 1930 and was officially listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. Some of the fun features of the park include; playgrounds, golf, the tallgrass prairie habitat, volleyball court, trails for hiking and biking, the arboretum, and the Nature Center among others.
I took my toddler to the area around the Nature Center to explore. Little did I expect to find a small herd of buffalo! We love buffalo so that was a fun surprise. You can go visit these guys on a raised deck platform and have unobstructed views of them grazing. We then walked around the open prairie/ tall grass lands. It was so beautiful and immediately got me in a creative mood. I could just imagine a family exploring this area together, walking hand in hand with the sunset in the background. Ahhh the portraits that could be created here. Check out these images from the area.
If you want to embrace your true Nebraska roots and love for this gorgeous state, I suggest a photography session here. My photography sessions always include a pre session consultation so I can get to know you and your family, the photography session itself (never rushed), and a super fun (emotional usually!) image reveal session where I help you order actual artwork you will cherish forever.
